SHORT BIOGRAPHY Dr. Regina Nuzzo has been involved in math education since junior high school, when she started her own tutoring business at age 13. Many years and many students later -- after receiving a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of South Florida -- Dr. Nuzzo studied statistics in the doctoral program at Stanford University, where she taught probability and statistics to undergraduate, graduate and medical school students. She then did post-doctoral research in the psychology department at McGill University in Montréal, Canada, studying functional data analysis and music cognition. Dr. Nuzzo is also a graduate of the Science Communication program at University of California - Santa Cruz, where she learned to write about mathematics, medicine, health and science for various audiences. Her work has appeared in The Monterey County Herald, the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory's national security newsletter, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, The Washington Post's Express, the American Association of Cancer Research's CR Magazine, Stanford University's Biomedical Computation Review, and The Los Angeles Times.
